AutoCAD has a wide library of commands. There are many commands which used to drawing any type of drawing. Today i am going to tell you about various method to drawing circle in AutoCAD.
Circle tool:
Short key: C enter
To draw a
circle first select the circle tool by clicking the circle on draw toolbar or
by simply press C enter.
circle first select the circle tool by clicking the circle on draw toolbar or
by simply press C enter.
Now there
are six method to draw a circle which are explain given below.
are six method to draw a circle which are explain given below.
1. Center-radius method:
This method is used when we know
the center and radius of the circle
the center and radius of the circle
procedure:
- Select
Circle tool from the quick access toolbar or press C enter. - Now specified
center point of circle by
x,y and press enter. If you don’t have specified location than click anywhere
in drawing area. - Now enter
the radius of circle and press enter.
Example:
To draw
a circle whose center lies at the origin and radius is 5.
a circle whose center lies at the origin and radius is 5.
Solution:
C
enter (select the tool)
enter (select the tool)
0,0 enter (specified center point)
5 enter (specified radius)
2. Center diameter method:
This method is used when we know the center and diameter of the circle
procedure:
- Select
Circle tool from the quick access toolbar or press C enter. - Now
specified center point of circle by x,y and press enter. If you don’t have specified location
than click anywhere in drawing area. - Now
press D and enter. - Now
enter the diameter of circle and press enter.
Example:
To draw
a circle whose center is (0,2)and diameter is 8.
a circle whose center is (0,2)and diameter is 8.
Solution:
C
enter (select the tool)
enter (select the tool)
0,2 enter (specified center point)
D enter (select diameter input option)
8 enter (specified diameter)
3. Two point method:
This method is used when
we know the two points from which the circle pass.
we know the two points from which the circle pass.
Procedure:
- Select
Circle tool from the quick access toolbar or press C enter. - Now
press 2P and enter. - Now
specified these two point by simply clicking the left click of mouse on drawing
area. You can also use absolute coordinate by selecting first point by x,y and
same as second point.
Example:
To draw
a circle which pass from two point (4,0) and (8,0).
a circle which pass from two point (4,0) and (8,0).
Solution:
C
enter (select the tool)
enter (select the tool)
2P
enter (select two point option)
enter (select two point option)
4,0
enter (specified first point)
enter (specified first point)
8,0
enter (specified second point)
enter (specified second point)
4. Three point method:
This method is used when we know the two points from which the circle pass.
Procedure:
- Select
Circle tool from the quick access toolbar or press C enter. - Now
press 3P and enter. - Now
specified these three point from which circle pass by simply clicking the left
click of mouse on drawing area. You can also use absolute coordinate by
selecting first point by x,y and same as second and third point point.
Example:
To draw
a circle which pass from three point (4,2) , (8,4) and (2,2).
a circle which pass from three point (4,2) , (8,4) and (2,2).
Solution:
C
enter (select the tool)
enter (select the tool)
3P
enter (select three point option)
enter (select three point option)
4,2enter (specified first point)
8,4
enter (specified second point)
enter (specified second point)
2,2
enter (specified third point)
enter (specified third point)
5. Tangent tangent radius method:
This method is used when we know two tangent of the circle and radius of the circle.
Procedure:
- Select
Circle tool from the quick access toolbar or press C enter. - Now
press TTR or T and enter. - Now
specified first and second tangent by clicking on the tangent with the mouse. - Now
enter the radius of circle and press enter.
Example:
To draw
a circle which has two tangents line AB and curve PQR and whose radius is 8.
a circle which has two tangents line AB and curve PQR and whose radius is 8.
Solution:
C
enter (select the tool)
enter (select the tool)
TTR OR
T enter (select Tangent-tangent-radius option)
T enter (select Tangent-tangent-radius option)
Select
the line AB.
the line AB.
Select
the curve PQR.
the curve PQR.
8
enter (enter the radius)
enter (enter the radius)
6. Tangent-Tangent-Tangent method:
This method is used when we know three tangent of the circle.
Procedure:
- Select
the tangent-tangent-tangent option on drop down menu of the circle on the
quick access toolbar. - Now
specified first ,second and third tangent by clicking on the tangent with the
mouse.
Example:
To draw
a circle which has three tangent line AB, line CD and curve PQR.
a circle which has three tangent line AB, line CD and curve PQR.
Solution:
Setect
the circle TTT tool from the quick access toolbar > draw toolbar>
circle> drop down menu> TTT.
the circle TTT tool from the quick access toolbar > draw toolbar>
circle> drop down menu> TTT.
Seclet
line AB.
line AB.
Select
line CD.
line CD.
Select
curve PQR.
curve PQR.
Exercise:
Problem 1 : draw a circle whose radius is 8 and center lies at point (4,4).
Problem 2 : draw the following diagram-
Problem 3 : draw a circle which have radius three following tangent
1. line AB which passes from point (3,4) and (6,8).
2. line CD which passes from origin and make angle 45 degree with x axis.
3. line EF which passes from point (0,4) and (0,8).
